About us

The pioneer of halal certification in Senegal.

Senegal's first halal certification body, Halal Sénégal guides companies, consumers and buyers towards a trustworthy halal market, in West Africa and across OIC markets.

Our story

Born from ten years of commitment to the halal economy.

Founded on 14 March 2019, Halal Sénégal was created to meet the growing demand for halal products and services in Senegal and West Africa.

It grew out of the International Exhibition on Muslim Business (SIBM), founded in 2012 by Senegalese at home and in the diaspora, which championed halal business and Islamic finance in Africa, notably through the African Halal Business Forum (FABH).

Halal Sénégal was the first to bring rigorous, OIC/SMIIC-compliant halal certification to the country, earning the trust of consumers and business partners.
